2 days. only 48h. no more than 2880 min. wad a way to start the new term man. by slamming a mid-year exams into our face, catching us by surprise with all the terror qns. and i mean TERROR qns. let's start with chinese. compo was killer. whenever ppl do compo, will think first then write their ideas down ryt? For me,i'll write then think. as a result, there were cancellations here and there and everywhere. swt. stoned for the first 10 min, had a problem finish reading the compo qns la. read halfway then will look around. realised that whenever it comes to chinese, i only use it diligently (and feel smarter) when i'm reading my manga, watching drama serials or movies, esp infernal affairs. aw man, infernal affairs, is so emotional. so much meaning. esp the part where anthony wong fell from the roof just as tony leung reached the entrance of the hotel ( some building la. tall one). he looked upon the one friend/colleague/superintendent who recognised his existence just as he (anthony wong) faded out of his own. and the music...not that the scence itself was devasting enuf, but they had to play the music. that piece of music which only made it more difficult to accept the fact that some noble/respectable fella of the show had died. 'zai jian...jing cha...zai jian'. damn, sure hope the hollywood version will be on par with it, though i doubt it will, cos' there are some aspects of the movie they'll never get. like grasping the essence of the traid man. traids superficially may be intimidating, but deep down, there's alot of bonding amonst the pple. they give the word 'brother' a whole new meaning. okok, as i was saying, after the compo was done, the actual paper was next. started on compre first since i wanted to end the boring part of the paper asap. knew that i could just slack slack and tikam the MCQ cos' even if i did make an effort to figure what they're talking about, i'll pretty much get the same marks. thank god chinese still has mcq, or i will seriously take malay/indian/jap/italian/french/thai/dialect over chinese. after it was over, people were saying how difficult and 'chim' the passage was, and that the summary thing was too simple already. but i just listened and told myself 'it doesnt matter whether the paper was easy or difficult, cos' to me, chinese has always been difficult. the easy qns just look as tough as the diffcult ones la.' spent the 2hr break watching ppl bridging and reading fmaths. fmaths. arz, yes, fmaths. further mathematics. or in more accurate terms, freakin'-difficult-until-u-cannot-understand-and-no-matter-how-u-stone-u'll-never-be-able-to-get-it-or-comprehend-a-shit-of-the-it maths. honestly, it was alright la. i could calmly do the qns until qn5. damn pissed when sucha direct-in-your-face qn oso i cannot do. so i skipped to 6. that's when it all started. qn after qn i couldnt attempt. the qn 5 had left an impact on me, and i had to shake it off. managed to attempt 'em eventually, though some are still a stunner to me. anyhow, i hoping for B la, not too much to ask ryt? arz, chem. chemistry. how fun. i had intended to wake up early for the past few days, but whenever i set my hp's alarm on, my mom ends up being the one waking up and turning it off as i continue to enjoy my deep slumber. maybe that's the purpose of alarm. to wake your sibling up and have him/her wake u up. wateva, i wanted to wake up and read the chem file, but no time. fine, had crossed all my fingers during the journey to sch (just kidding) in hope i'd do reasonably well. MCq was not bad...until i had 10 min left for last ten 10 qns (not including those i left blank) . it's fun la, in a sick-and-sadistic-not-so-fun way. the adrenaline rush, it does have its wonders. i think that's how i got my 50/60 for my phy test. was 10-15 min late, then thought i'd not be able to finish everything (which ya, in the end i didnt finish the last qn). but luck was on my side, all through the 1 hr or so paper. ok, gotta stop digressing. i had started on section C first. omgawd, it was quite a breeze, when i suddenly was thrown into a typhoon or tsunami or flood or wateva disaster. qns were getting more indirect, u needed to think hard for some of them. but what pissed me off was the last qn. when i attempted to draw the graph, drew the first three points and it looked like it was going to be a straight line. so i drew out a straight line through the three points, thinking that the next few points will land on the line. pls, let me emphasise on the word 'thinking'. to my horror (though i was kind expecting it), the nxt three points started deviating from the line. wad da hell, like that oso the teacher like arz? if the first few points show a straight line, let us draw a straight line la. nevermind, so i rubbed away and re-did the line. or should i say curve, which it had turned out to. so had to find half life ryt? wa lao, when i tried to find the 2nd half life, my graph couldnt give me the readings cos' i had used up the entire x-axis to show until 21min. wat i needed was the time for a measurement of 10.25, but my graph could only read until 18. so redid lor. aGaIN! then when i fiNaLLy got the 2nd half life, it wasn't equal to the first one. shit sia, i panicked, thinking how come not the same. check and check. aiya, in the end just put order of reaction 1 and hantam the nxt few qns. yes, heaved a sigh of relief when i finished section C. time for section B. OH my god, only then did i realise that i had an entire frickin' section B to finish. as i directed my view to the clock, time seemed to slow down just enough for me to be stunned for a min or so. 9.40pm. ARZRARZarxraasghiuhasjkdfhguyasgdg.....that's how i felt. chiong lor, the entire section B. dunno how many careless mistakes i know i have defintiely made. so in the end, the stupid isomer qn was blank. as blank as my mind when i was reading the qn. no worries, didnt want to waste the teacher's ink, so wrote a big fat zero at the bottom of the page. considerate and angry and panicky and AJIfhkUSHEFikHAkjf at the same time. nice. it's over. just see how much i get. i will be contented with a C, cos' i had set out to get it from the start. knew chem wasnt my strong sub.spent the nxt 3 hrs with my peeps bridging. took over shuan tze at 12 and played until 1.10. nice la, i had a great time playing, esp with mex. dun think he knows wat's he's saying when he bids. then ka kui was sitting opposite him, and they were trying to outbid each other. ka kui won the bid with 5 spades, i think. they were battling it out lor, my and kian lim just stone. and guess who he picked as partner? yes, not me, not kian lim, not the aunties behind us who were chatting crap, but mex. mexcel. terror la, of all the ppl to pick, had to pick him. and this happened a couple of times. power. the curse of KM (kaMex). then one game they were bidding it out. wa lao, mex was in his nutty mood of cos,bid 6 blardy hearts. haha, i decided to record it lor. so we redid the scence again when i started recording. haha, damn funny, if u want the recorded file, ask me, i send u. i think my laugh real distinctive, couldnt stand it la. ok, C maths and physics left. can la, i not scared now cos' they dun take so long to study. thought i'd list my current favourites down. to rmb that at this point of time, i had this sort of taste.
