Triton is spelled W-I-N-N-E-R-S. woohoo! wat a day i had yesterday. it was the inaugural 3rd track and field meet for MJc. it was a pretty much typical morning with physics tutorial and lect. it was followed by a so-darn-boring double period fmaths lect. moreover, it was taken up by the same lecturer, who i personally think loves to act cute. why? cos' she has this habit of speaking her thoughts. it's like she has no mental voice to say it for her. for eg, if she makes a mistake, she'll go like 'aiyah!why i so careless?sry sry..' or 'ehz?how my pen suddenly change colour?'. oh so not cute lady..i realli bui tahan her lesson lor. 2 consecutive periods with her seems like eternity. and it doesnt help very much when both ya frens nxt to u are dozing off and constantly 'nodding in agreement' with wat she says. the temptation, it is there. but miracously i survived the ordeal. it was a well-deserved lunch that followed after. met up with the other triton nominees to finish up with making the pon-pons ( the thing that cheerleaders use to shake with their hands). after we're done, we went for a briefing. it was pretty much the usual after tt, get all stuff together, clear up last-min tasks, learn the cheers from our cheerleaders and get down to the netball court. 'it looks like it was gona rain' someone from the crowd mentioned so. ya, it would definitely rain if u maybe did a little raindance? come on man, don't say this sorta things when we're abt to start the track meet leh. sadly, our words werent enuf to convince the gods to not pour down on us. as a result, we hada wait for the rain to die off. half an hour later, we ended up with continuing with the cheerleading competition in the hall. awesome man, this was a first timer for me. and darn, the callisto had babes man. miranda had skirts that shld end up being the default length of MJ's gals' uniform.but i think triton had the most organised team, though we lacked in numbers, but we had quality shit ( honestly, we were that good.) we even ended with a bang, cos' one of the ladies had fallen back flat on the floor. no one had caught her when she fell. dang, they shoulda called for me, i would glady help grab her..i mean catch her la.. after the much-hyped cheerleading thingy, everyone was rushing for the milo truck. it seems like this milo truck is everywhere, be it road runs or wateva sports meet i've been at. milo is so influential.haha, dunno wat nonsense i'm toking..anyway, i had to help out with putting the chairs in place for all the tritons. we were stationed at the ramp/bridge in front of the hall. i found it a rather awesome spot, not becos we were nearest to the milo truck, nor was it becos we could block the other houses from going to the toilets, but we werent so packed together, we had the space we all wanted. and there was enuf leaning space for all tritons onto the barracade. if every batch continues leaning onto it, the barracade is gona give wat sooner or later. heck, it shld last enuf for us. when the events started, i had surprised myself. i was unlike my OG-self, the slacker and unenthu me. maybe it's becos i had to set a good eg for the rest. wateva da case, the triton nominees and i were cheering our hearts out. and gladys seemed to have the capability of screaming all the way. and i mean all the way. she was like for every event screaming at the top of her voice, which me and jaesong failed to do so. gals, they're always unpredictable. kah mun oso, dunno how she do it lor. maybe she's been training at concerts, it was either scream or be screamed at. power sia. we onli gave out the bandanas halfway thru the meet, when gladys mentioned it. and instead of tying around their forehead, they ended up making ties around their necks. so creative, and yet they cant think of something good for their PI. odd...and then we carried on cheering, which soon became our drug to get high. the cheerleaders were oso damn ON, most of the time they'd get the ball rollin and we'd add the boost they needed. Anyway, as for the events, triton rawks. the impression of triton being a loser house at the road race soon became a distant memory, as we claimed medals after medals. kudos to gian seng. i realli respect this fella, he takes his runnig seriously. and fu kun, the kun(g) fu bastard. din know he was so powerful in track events. he made the gap we needed with the other runners in the 4 x 400 relay. and all the time i tot he was just a slacker. wait, i still think he's a slacker, but a athlectic slacker that is. i think it was thanks to the house t-shirt i lended to him that made the difference. haha, no la, jus kidding.. So we caried on cheering and we had milo after milo and barry looked so cute when he did the novelty race. dang, i so envied him when the cheerleaders were boosting his morale, they were like his fan club. when will i have my fan club? all in all, we went from fourth to 3rd overall. i seriously think we deserved it, after all we did and all the runners did. and stupid stephen made me settle the attendance thingy, had to make sure all the sheets were marked by respective CG reps. but my sorrow was drowning in the estactic cheers of tritons. we did well, too well in fact. i hope nxt year will be the same. till the nxt track meet guys.. |
